Ring has introduced Ring Verify, a tool to verify the authenticity of videos captured by its cameras, combating the spread of potentially AI-generated or edited footage. Starting December 2025, downloaded Ring videos will include a digital security seal, indicating if a video has been altered. The tool is designed to identify any tampering, such as brightness adjustments or trimming, and confirms if a video is unverified. While Ring Verify can detect tampering, it cannot specify what was edited or identify if a video is AI-generated.
