Xreal already made my favorite smart glasses, and its Aura specs take things to a whole new level with 2K screens and Android XR capabilities

TechRadar tested Xreal’s new Aura smart glasses at IFA 2026 and described them as lightweight eyewear that can deliver many Android XR features through an external compute puck. The glasses use transparent 2K displays with a 70-degree field of view, Bose-tuned speakers, microphones, and cameras for hand tracking and Circle to Search. Through Android XR, users can run Play Store apps, stream content on virtual screens, use Gemini assistance, and connect phones, laptops, tablets, consoles, or handhelds over USB-C. Xreal has not given a precise launch date or final price, but says the product is due in fall 2026 and will cost no more than $1,500.
