The IBM-HashiCorp coupling could be more complicated than it seems

IBM has acquired HashiCorp for $6.4 billion in an all-cash deal that will give the tech giant a major boost in its hybrid cloud management business. The deal, which is expected to close in the second half of 2023, will combine HashiCorp's infrastructure automation tools with IBM's Red Hat and security offerings.
