• •Russia-linked hackers used malware to sabotage a Ukrainian heating utility in the middle of winter, leaving hundreds of buildings without heat or hot water for around 48 hours.
• •The malware, dubbed FrostyGoop, is one of the first ever discovered that's designed to interact directly with industrial control-system software with the aim of having physical effects.
• •The attack occurred in January, when Lviv was experiencing its typical January freeze, close to the coldest time of the year in the region.
