Amazon is launching its new Vega-based Fire TV dongle, the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, which runs on the new Vega operating system. To ensure that the device launches with the necessary apps, Amazon will stream Android versions of popular apps from the cloud. This cloud streaming service is primarily aimed at major publishers, offering free access for the first nine months, with potential fees based on monthly active users later on. Amazon is also proactively enabling cloud streaming for select popular Android apps whose publishers haven't yet supported Vega.
