These measures include woodland planting, wildflower grasslands, and provisions for animals like hedgehogs and bats. Despite policies mandating that housing projects benefit nature, many of the promised features are not being implemented. Developers are required to create benefits for nature, including a 10 percent net gain in biodiversity for all new projects since last year.
