Scientists have discovered the fossilized remains of an ancient sea cow that was killed by a crocodilian and eaten by a shark. The creature, which lived in what is now Venezuela, was about 16 feet long and had a snout that was covered in small, circular indentations. The researchers believe that the crocodilian first snapped at the sea cow's snout, then used its tail to spiral its body and tear at the animal in what scientists term a "death roll." The shark then scavenged on the sea cow's remains, leaving behind a fossilized tooth embedded in the fossil.
