NASA's Europa Clipper spacecraft has captured its first image, a star field mosaic that will help the orbiter chart a path to its final destination. The image is a composite of three shots taken in December 2024, less than two months after the spacecraft launched atop a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket. The four brightest stars visible in the image are Alchiba, Algorab, Gienah and Kraz from the Corvus constellation.
