Craig Mazin, co-creator of The Last of Us, is partnering with Hasbro Entertainment to develop an HBO series titled Baldur's Gate, picking up where the game Baldur's Gate 3 left off. Mazin will have full creative control as co-creator, writer, executive producer, and showrunner. The series will feature familiar and new characters, with Wizards of the Coast's Chris Perkins consulting to ensure adherence to DnD origins. This project gives the creative team freedom to craft a new narrative, as a Baldur's Gate 4 game is not in development.
