Revel, which initially launched with electric scooters in 2019, has closed its ride-hailing service in New York City. The company is now concentrating on its electric vehicle (EV) charging business, aiming to build fast-charging infrastructure. Revel's ride-hail fleet of Tesla and Kia vehicles will be sold off, along with the attached for-hire vehicle license plates. With a boost from a deal with Uber, Revel is aiming to have a significant expansion in its charging network by the end of 2026.
