Spotify reuses its live audio tech through Listening Party feature

Spotify is testing a new feature that lets fans ask artists questions during listening parties. The feature, called Listening Party, is currently being tested in the U.S. and Indonesia with plans to expand to more markets. To join a Listening Party, fans must be a Spotify Premium user and have demonstrated an affinity for the artist over time. During a Listening Party, fans can request to go “on stage” to interact with the artist. The feature also includes a live chat room where fans can discuss the music with each other.
