Following Apple's removal of ICEBlock, Google has also removed similar apps from its Play Store, citing policy violations related to the location sharing of a vulnerable group and inadequate moderation of user-generated content. The removals, which also include Red Dot, come after a shooting at a Dallas ICE facility, allegedly linked to apps that track ICE agents. Both companies acted proactively, without specific requests, with Apple citing safety risks and Google pointing to the apps' failure to meet content moderation standards.
