  • NASA's Ingenuity Mars Helicopter flew on a parade float in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California.
  • The float was built by the City of La Cañada Flintridge, where the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) is located.
  • The float featured an Ingenuity-like rotorcraft at its front and a six-wheeled rover made to look like it had been built using components from NASA's two robots active on Mars, Curiosity and Perseverance.

The City of La Cañada Flintridge celebrated the Jet Propulsion Propulsion Laboratory and Mars exploration with its 2025 float "Rover Rendezvous." The float featured a flower-covered replica of NASA's Ingenuity Mars Helicopter, which was the first aircraft to achieve powered flight on another planet. The float also included a six-wheeled rover made to look like it had been built using components from NASA's two robots active on Mars, Curiosity and Perseverance.
