Google is launching its Gemini AI assistant in Chrome, allowing users to clarify complex information and summarize webpages. Initially available on Windows and macOS, Gemini will be accessible through a floating UI that can answer questions about the website. The AI assistant will initially work across two tabs, with plans to expand its capabilities to navigate websites and work across multiple tabs later. Gemini in Chrome is launching on Wednesday for early access users who meet the criteria.
