STORM Therapeutics has dosed its first patient in a Phase 2 clinical trial for STC-15, an RNA-targeting cancer drug aimed at treating sarcoma. The company raised $56 million in a Series C round to fund the trial, with investments from existing backers including Pfizer Ventures and M Ventures. STC-15, a first-in-class METTL3 inhibitor, has shown promising results in Phase 1 trials, demonstrating durable tumor regression across multiple sarcoma subtypes. The Phase 2 trial is designed to potentially accelerate regulatory approval and expand clinical development into other oncology indications.
